Bimal Barchha


After 15 years of passionate involvement in property investment and development, the one thing I rarely experienced was a great service when letting or purchasing any of my properties. Properties are most people’s largest investment, which can drive high levels of emotion when selling or letting.

As a result, Smartmove's core principles are based around customer experience being at the heart of everything we do.

I'm a qualified accountant with years of experience managing customer focused operations. During the weekends & holidays is when I spend time renovating properties for investment purposes to either sell or rent.

I live in Northampton Town and born and bred in Leicester, so have a very close emotional attachment to both of these areas. I'm married with one child who continues to keep me on my feet when I have spare time away from Smartmove

Sanjay Patel


Having completed a number of renovation and refurbishment projects over the last 10 years, I have developed a keen interest in the property market and built a network of industry contacts. Being an experienced corporate banker, I also have an extensive knowledge of the mortgage market and the financial sector in the UK.

Smartmove was originally founded by Bimal and myself to bring together our property interests and corporate backgrounds to provide a professional and friendly experience to individuals wanting to sell or let out their properties. We enjoy what we do and we hope that shows!

Milan Patel

Letting Consultant

Since a young age, I have had a profound passion for property development. This was established during my adolescence when I regularly developed and refurbished properties for family and friends as a hobby.

After completing a university degree, I have took the step into the property industry. There is nothing better than spending your time working in the field you are passionate about.

A degree in Accounting & Finance has given me the underlying knowledge and awareness of business operations as well as allowing me to work with landlords to maximise their asset value.

It is an honour to be a part of the Smartmove team and provide high quality homes for all of our tenants with courteous customer service.

Outside of work, I enjoy socialising with family and friends and continuing to develop my knowledge and skills.

Loren Matteo

Office Manager - Sales and Lettings

Having held a number of managerial roles, my position at Smartmove was ideal to compliment my other business interests. Being responsible for the back office operations of the company, nothing excites me more than handing over a set of keys to a new home owner or tenant.

In my spare time I love spending time with my favourite 1.5 boys (my partner and little boy), together we're both football and rugby fans.

Lettings Administrator

Being organised, methodical and working with customers is something I really enjoy.

Prior to joining Smartmove, was helping with the administrative duties within my family business.

Supporting the administrative duties at Smartmove has enabled me to utilise my skills and traits which I enjoy most.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading and playing sports

I've spent my working career mainly in retail in customer facing roles, so its nice to have a role where I can mix this experience with office administration.

I'm a traveller and have been to many places in the world. I enjoy keeping fit and also eating out (Nandos is still the best)
